Who we are

Shaping HR was born from a conversation between two colleagues at a turning point in our careers. One of us was the founder of a growing ABA company, the other its trusted HR leader — both of us asking, What’s next? What emerged was a shared realization: the biggest challenges in early-stage ABA businesses are often the ones no one prepares you for, compliance decisions, hiring missteps, team culture drift, or HR issues that could’ve been prevented with the right structure in place. We’ve lived those pain points firsthand and we knew we could be the kind of resource we once needed.

  • Lee Ann Jones is an HR consultant who helps companies grow without losing sight of their people. With more than a decade of experience, she focuses on building teams that work, solving complex HR challenges, and creating systems that support both compliance and culture.

    Before consulting, Lee Ann co-founded and scaled a multi-million-dollar ABA company, giving her firsthand insight into the realities of running a business where people and care are at the center. She knows what it takes to balance growth with culture because she’s been in the owner’s seat herself—and she brings that perspective to every client she works with.

  • Lisa Tranel is an HR consultant who partners with ABA and therapy organizations to build HR systems that truly put people first. With seven years of senior HR experience, she’s known for turning messy processes into simple, scalable systems that help companies stay compliant, retain talent, and keep their culture strong.

    Before consulting, Lisa built and led HR teams inside multi-site ABA companies, giving her firsthand insight into the balancing act of regulations, staffing, and culture in a people-centered field. She knows that HR isn’t just policies, it’s about creating workplaces where therapists feel supported, leaders feel confident, and teams stay inspired to change lives.

    Driven by both professional expertise and personal connection to the autism and ADHD community, Lisa brings not just strategy, but also energy, empathy, and a genuine love for ABA to every client she works with!
